Alert: Weight Loss Medication Update
Patients may be aware that there is a national policy around the availability of weight loss medications to eligible patients in General Practice from 23rd June.
The first group of people eligible under the national criteria includes individuals who:
- Non-diabetic hyperglycaemia or type-two diabetes
GPs in South Cumbria & Lancashire have not yet received confirmation that they will be commissioned to prescribe these medications.
We will provide an update as soon as possible as soon as more information becomes available but in the meantime, we politely request that patients do not contact the practice about Mounjaro (Tirzepadite).
