Local Community Support

During COVID-19 our local community’s have pulled together to create support groups to help with getting basic food essentials and medication delivered. Please contact the surgery and ask to speak to Sam our GP Link Worker who will put you in contact with your local group.

Within our area there are many groups and activity’s that are ran by local people, charity’s and organisations. These include exercise classes for all ages, Lunch groups, Toddler groups, Mental health cafes, Knitting groups and so much more. Being part of a group can help with your health and wellbeing and are a great support network. Below are the contact details/ websites for organisations that run the groups and activity’s. Here at Park View Surgery we have a GP Link Worker Service. Sam and Sue our GP Link workers are able to meet patients and can give you specialist support for more than medical issues. They would contact you and spend time with you exploring what activity’s and local support is out there to improve your health and wellbeing. They will get to know you and what your interests are and can put you in contact with the right groups/ organisations.  Talk to your GP if you feel you or someone you know would benefit from the GP Link Worker Service.
