Local Community Support

During COVID-19 our local community’s have pulled together to create support groups to help with getting basic food essentials and medication delivered. Please contact the surgery and ask to speak to Sam our GP Link Worker who will put you in contact with your local group.

Within our area there are many groups and activity’s that are ran by local people, charity’s and organisations. These include exercise classes for all ages, Lunch groups, Toddler groups, Mental health cafes, Knitting groups and so much more. Here at Park View Surgery we have a GP Link Worker Service. Sam and Sue our GP Link workers are able to meet patients and can give you specialist support for more than medical issues. They would contact you and spend time with you exploring what activity’s and local support is out there to improve your health and wellbeing. They will get to know you and what your interests are and can put you in contact with the right groups/ organisations.  Talk to your GP if you feel you or someone you know would benefit from the GP Link Worker Service.

Extended Access is the offer of pre-bookable appointments outside GP practices’ core contractual hours, either in the early morning, evening (until 9.30pm) or at weekend and on bank holidays.

There are a range of appointments we can offer our patients in addition to practice appointments, please speak to our reception team for more information.

The online consult service has clinically approved , GP-authored information covering a number of topics with self-help videos and resources. Submit a routine query and we will respond in two working days.
